Aditya Rao

Aditya Rao, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist in Bioinformatics at PinkDx, Inc. since October 2025. Prior to this role, Aditya worked as a Computational Biologist at Freenome from November 2021 to July 2024, where expertise in training and optimizing machine learning and deep learning models was applied. Aditya completed a PhD in Immunology with a specialization in Computational and Systems Immunology at Stanford University from 2016 to 2021, where significant contributions included the discovery of blood-based transcriptomic diagnostics and the development of the MANATEE ML framework. Additional experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago in Dr. Barbara Kee's lab, focusing on transcriptional regulation in hematopoiesis. Aditya also holds a Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago.
