Justyna Haftka

Justyna Haftka has a diverse work experience in various language teaching and translation roles. Justyna worked as a Spanish and Portuguese teacher at La Mancha Centrum Języka Hiszpańskiego for three years and also worked briefly as a secretary there. Justyna worked as a Spanish and Portuguese language teacher at the International Language Institute for three years, ending in January 2022. Justyna also worked as a Spanish and Portuguese teacher at Futuro Szkoła Językowa Online for one and a half years, ending in November 2022, and at ProfiLingua for seven months until November 2021. Justyna worked as a Spanish-speaking airline passenger service agent at Armatis for two months in 2020. In 2019, they were a trainee in the field of translations at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Lisbon. Justyna worked as a language researcher with Portuguese at HireRight for seven months, ending in May 2023, and is currently an onboarding specialist for the Iberia Market at PinMeTo.

Justyna Haftka has an extensive education background, starting with their Bachelor’s degree in Iberian Studies from the University of Gdansk which they completed in 2018. Following their degree, in 2017, they studied under the Erasmus + program at the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro for a year. Justyna then proceeded to obtain a Master’s degree in Portuguese philology from the Jagiellonian University in 2020. Later on, they pursued a postgraduate specialized translation course of Spanish language from the same institution in 2021. Currently, they are a PhD candidate at Jagiellonian University, following a doctoral program specializing in Spanish and Portuguese linguistics, a degree program which has spanned from 2020-2024. Justyna also gained additional certification, including a Certificate in Advanced English obtained in 2014 from the Cambridge Assessment English institution and a Certificate for Superior Spanish for Business from the Cámara de Comercio, Industria y Servicios de Madrid that they obtained in 2019. Justyna has also been an Erasmus+ mobility student in 2022, studying at Universidad de Alcalá.
