Paul Mountain

Paul Mountain is the current VP of finance and planning at Pinnacle West Capital. Paul has over thirteen years of experience in corporate finance and consulting.

Mountain started their career at Arthur Andersen as a senior consultant. There, they designed and implemented merger integration and financial planning software solutions for a wide range of clients. This included project management, creating proposals, and training clients. Some of their key accomplishments include creating an Excel model to allocate costs by operating unit for pre-IPO analysis and leading the design and implementation of Hyperion planning software in several engagements in utilities, manufacturing, software and consumer goods sectors.

In 2002, Mountain transitioned to Exelon, where they became the director of investor relations. Paul held this position for over 10 years until 2013, when they joined Pinnacle West Capital as their VP of finance and planning.

Paul Mountain has an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Finance and Accounting. Their BSBA is in Finance and International Business from Bowling Green State University. Paul also has a certification from the Leadership Pipeline Institute in Functional Leader and another certification from CFA Institute in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Paul Mountain reports to Ted N. Geisler, SVP & CFO. They work with Patrick Dinkel - VP, Strategy and Risk, Elizabeth Blankenship - Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.
