Tamela Vaughn has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Tamela started their career at Pitney Bowes Inc as a Call Center Manager, where they managed two call centers with a staff of 65 customer service associates. Tamela was responsible for staffing, training, budgets, and change management.

After working at Pitney Bowes for over a decade, Tamela joined Oce as the Director of Operational Effectiveness & Training. In this role, they led a multi-million dollar legacy to Oracle enterprise system conversion and implementation project. Tamela was responsible for analyzing ERP/CRM requirements and functionality gaps, as well as writing and presenting Future Business Design and functional specification documents.

Tamela later joined Oracle Corporation as a Principal Consultant, where they implemented Oracle CRM Foundation and Oracle Service Applications. Tamela'sresponsibilities included requirements gathering, gap analysis, application configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation. Tamela also designed and utilized Data Loader programs to migrate large amounts of client information into Oracle applications.

In 2009, Tamela started working at Pinnacol Assurance as the Enterprise Applications Manager. In this role, they supervised and empowered 5 development teams, consisting of developers, business analysts, and software quality analysts. Tamela effectively communicated with staff and upper management to support, develop, and implement IT strategic initiatives.

Tamela quickly progressed at Pinnacol Assurance and became the Associate Vice President of Information Technology, where they provided visionary and strategic leadership in information technology infrastructure and operations. Tamela'sresponsibilities included data storage, database management, application servers, networking, security, and procurement. Tamela successfully led a team that migrated the on-premise data center to a co-location facility with zero unscheduled downtime.

Later, Tamela took on the role of Associate Vice President of Application Services at Pinnacol Assurance. Tamela focused on increasing the speed of delivery and the number of projects delivered to customers. Tamela also provided focus and growth for their talented development team, which included application developers, quality assurance analysts, business analysts, product owners, and scrum masters.

Currently, Tamela holds the position of Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Pinnacol Assurance. In this role, they oversee the development and implementation of business transformation strategies driven by customer experiences and enabled through technology. Tamela'sresponsibilities include implementing customer-centric digital transformation solutions, optimizing efficiencies, empowering business through advanced analytics and data-driven insights, and ensuring the security of Pinnacol's systems and data.

Tamela Vaughn has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Social & Emotional Intelligence Certified Coach from the ISEI Institute for Social & Emotional Intelligence in May 2012 and the Certified ScrumMaster (CMS) certification in April 2009.
