Tarun Kapoor

Tarun Kapoor has been a leader in the investment management industry for over 15 years. In 2015, they founded and became the CEO of Pinnakl, a cloud-based front-to-back office system that elevates workflow efficiencies orders of magnitude higher than legacy marketplace software. Tarun also offered leading edge tools designed for the tech landscape in investment management at a lower cost. Prior to this, they were the Chief Technology Officer and Applications Developer at Waterstone Capital Management from 2005-2015. As Chief Technology Officer, they were responsible for hiring and managing team members, annual performance reviews, and technical guidance. As Applications Developer, they developed systems and tools that encompass the entire life cycle of a trade, from capturing it from traders to allocating it in the order management system and sending the trade allocation details to the fund administrator and prime brokers.

Tarun Kapoor received their MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2010, where they studied Analytical Finance, Economics, and General Management. Tarun had previously earned their Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2005.
