Bill Conlon has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Bill began their career in 1982 at Pacific Gas & Electric Company, where they worked as an Engineer on the Diablo Canyon project. Bill then joined International Power Technology in 1984 as a Senior Engineer, where they achieved commercial operation of cogeneration units and managed turbine test programs. In 1987, they became the Vice President of Engineering at Polar Spring Corporation, leading the conceptualization and development of a novel water treatment technology.
From 1995 to 1997, Conlon worked as the Vice President at Evotech, Inc., managing systems and new product engineering projects. Bill then joined To the Point as a Technical Director from 1998 to 2001. In 2002, Conlon started their own consulting engineering firm, William M. Conlon, P.E., Ph.D., Consulting Engineer, where they provided consulting services until 2008.
Conlon then joined Ausra as the Director of Power Engineering in 2008, where they coordinated the engineering and construction of solar boilers. Bill offered diligence, evaluation, and advice to various organizations. Finally, in 2014, Conlon became the President of Pintail Power.
