Jonathon Hill

Co-Founder and Scientific Advisor at Pioneer Biolabs

Jonathon Hill's work experience includes roles at various organizations. Jonathon began their career as a SMDEP Biology Instructor at Columbia University from July 2008 to August 2009. Jonathon then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Utah from September 2010 to June 2015.

In 2010, they also began working as a Translator at American Journal Experts, a role they held until June 2016.

Moving forward, Hill joined Brigham Young University as an Assistant Professor in June 2015 and eventually became an Associate Professor in June 2021. At Brigham Young University, they have been involved in academic research and teaching.

In 2018, Hill co-founded Pioneer Biolabs, where they serve as a Scientific Advisor. Pioneer Biolabs develops and markets the SLALOM 1.0 molecular kit for genetic experiments involving CRISPR libraries.

In 2022, Hill embarked on a new venture as a Co-founder and VP of Science and Technology at Wasatch Biolabs. Jonathon is currently in this role, focusing on the company's scientific and technological endeavors.

Jonathon Hill began their education at San Benito High, although the specific time frame is unknown. Jonathon then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, specializing in Genetics and Development, from Brigham Young University between 1999 and 2005. Jonathon completed their Master of Science in Molecular Biology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from 2005 to 2007. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics and Development from Columbia University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010.
