Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund

Andy Moon is a Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund, where they focus on climate change and sustainability investments. Andy also serves as an advisor to startups on strategy, go-to-market, and finance / fund-raising.

Moon started their career as an advisor and project finance specialist for a leading German investment firm. In this role, they built financial models and negotiated debt / equity terms for the sale of European solar projects. Andy also served as an early investor in startups such as Chronosphere, one of the fastest growing SaaS startups in history.

In 2019, Moon joined Vas Ventures as a Venture Partner, where they evaluated over 150 startup pitches. In 2020, they joined Carbon180 as an Entrepreneur In Residence, where they researched and prototyped ideas related to sustainability in real estate and the built environment. During their time at Carbon180, Moon gained broad knowledge of natural and engineered carbon solutions, and the steps that governments and corporations are taking to achieve (or not achieve) net zero.

Andy Moon graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor's degree. Andy then went on to Harvard University for Executive Education in Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century. WEF's Young Global Leaders program. In Summer 2015, Andy Moon attended Y Combinator.
