Scott Stephenson is a co-founder and CEO of Deepgram, a company specializing in scalable and accurate AI for speech recognition, operational since August 2015. In addition, Scott serves as a venture partner at Pioneer Fund, beginning in December 2018. Scott’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Particle Physics and a Master’s in Physics from the University of Michigan, where research focused on developing deep underground Dark Matter detectors, including contributions to the PandaX and LUX/LZ collaborations. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at UC Davis, working on the Davis Xenon dual-phase liquid xenon detector program. Scott completed an educational program at Y Combinator in 2016, further enhancing skills in speech recognition technology.
