Brian Fioca

Brian Fioca has a strong background in AI and technology entrepreneurship. Brian is currently working at Pioneer Square Labs as a Principal AI Engineer, a role they began in July 2023. Prior to this, they were the Founder and Head of Product Engineering at RescueTime since September 2019. Before that, they worked at Blueprint AI as a Founding AI Engineer from January 2023 to August 2023. Brian has also founded and held leadership positions at several other companies, including backerbird, Crowd Cow, Glowforge, and Madrona Venture Labs. Brian has experience in growth engineering, ecommerce engineering, and mobile development.

Brian Fioca's education history includes a brief period at Y Combinator in 2008. Brian then attended Southern Polytechnic State University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they studied Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1996 to 2000, although they did not obtain a degree. In 2019, Brian obtained a certification as a Generalist Software Engineer from Triplebyte.
