Robert de Leeuw

Robert de Leeuw has a strong background in technology and software development. Robert is currently working as a Technology Evangelist at PIONIX GmbH, where they are involved in building an Open Source EV Charging Station software stack called EVerest. Robert also supports and builds a community of EVerest users and contributors.

Prior to this, Robert held various roles at EVA Global, including Principal System Architect, Chief Technology Officer, and Technical Director. At IHomer, they worked as a Senior Software Architect/Engineer for nearly eight years.

Robert has also played a significant role in the Open Charge Alliance, serving as the OCA Technology working group chair and the OCPP Compliance working group chair. In these positions, they contributed to the development and implementation of charging systems for electric vehicles.

Earlier in their career, Robert worked as a Camera Designer at Grass Valley Nederland B.V., where they were responsible for designing, implementing, and testing software for professional TV cameras and camcorders. Robert also worked at Vitelec B.V. as a Manager Product Development and Software Engineer.

Additionally, Robert has experience at Ericsson, where they served as a Teamleader Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Graduation Student.

Robert de Leeuw obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hogere Informatica from Avans University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Robert also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Hogere Informatica from Hogeschool 's-Hertogenbosch during the same time period. Before that, from 1992 to 1995, they attended Antony Fokker MTS, studying Avionics Maintenance Technology/Technician.

In terms of additional certifications, Robert de Leeuw earned a Professional Leadership Coach certification from Intention Centrum voor Leiderschap en Coaching in October 2022.
