Scott McMullen

Director Of Quality at Piper Networks

Scott McMullen has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Scott began their career as the President of Thoroughbred Quality Group, Inc. in 2019. At Piper Networks in the same year, they served as the Director of Quality. Prior to these roles, McMullen worked at Best Wave Management from 2017 to 2019 as the Chief Technical Advisor, where they provided consulting and advisory services in development, quality, QMS, management, and technology transfer.

In 2010, McMullen joined Hospira as a Senior Management Consultant, where they served as an advisor to management on quality management system, business process re-engineering, and medical device software quality. Scott was also responsible for overseeing infusion pump safety software releases and reviewing and approving quality processes for new products.

From 2008 to 2017, McMullen worked as the President/CEO of ABL Parker. During this time, they provided quality and development consulting services to the financial and healthcare industries and developed trend analysis algorithms and software.

Prior to ABL Parker, McMullen was the VP Engineering at Medsphere Systems Corporation from 2006 to 2009. In this role, they were responsible for research and development, software development, quality assurance, customer support, IT infrastructure, and revenue management. Scott reorganized the departments, implemented new processes, and added new business opportunities.

From 2004 to 2006, McMullen worked as an SR Manager at Misys Healthcare Systems, where they turned around a troubled organization and achieved positive revenue and industry recognition for improved quality and delivery timing.

In 2003, McMullen served as the VP Engineering at Trestle Corporation, where they built and organized the engineering and R&D organization, implemented new processes for predictable delivery, and expanded the staff's skill sets.

Lastly, McMullen founded MTI in 1992, where they served as the President until 2003. At MTI, they provided quality system consulting and system engineering services to various companies, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, across industries such as medical devices, chemical and nuclear plants, and healthcare IT.

Scott McMullen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between the years 1981 and 1985. In addition, they obtained the Series 3 Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in November 2016 and the ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in December 2015.
