Andreas G. Anastasiou Ph.D.

Andreas G. Anastasiou PhD, CMIIA is an accomplished auditing professional with extensive experience in internal audit and risk management across various financial institutions. Currently serving as Chief Audit Executive at Piraeus since February 2025, Andreas previously held significant roles, including Senior Director/Head of Audit EMEA & APAC at Intercontinental Exchange from October 2020 to February 2025 and Director at Citi from January 2015 to September 2020. Earlier positions include Vice President at Citigroup focused on model risk management, as well as roles in Barclays Bank PLC's internal audit department, where responsibilities included providing assurance on high risks and controls. Andreas began their career as a Quantitative Risk Analyst at Banco Santander UK and holds a PhD in Applied Econometrics and a Master of Science in Economics and Marketing, both from the University of Reading.
