Ravi Shankar

Ravi Shankar has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Ravi started their career as a Decoration Team Member at Kshitij, IIT Kharagpur, where they contributed to the organization of a national-level technical festival. Ravi then joined the Entrepreneurship Cell at IIT Kharagpur as an Associate Manager, Corporate and Media Relations, where they conducted entrepreneurship awareness drives and organized a global entrepreneurship conference.

Ravi later worked as a Marketing and Business Development Intern at releaseMyAd.com, where they evaluated market potential for new consumer technologies and conducted strategic due diligence for acquisition targets. Ravi also co-founded Alive Home, where they served as the Chief Business Officer, implementing go-to-market strategies for their smart sleep sense device.

Ravi gained experience in data science as a Summer Analyst at HDFC Bank, where they analyzed semantic and syntactic structures in interaction comments. Ravi then joined mBreath as the Chief Business Officer, strategizing revenue streams and leading the development of their smart sleep assistant and monitoring device.

In subsequent roles at Javis and Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Limited, Ravi held leadership positions in analytics and data science teams. Ravi led teams working on cross-sell and AI products, developed models for demand planning and sales forecasting, and built OCR tech stacks to parse KYC documents. Ravi also played a crucial role in the acquisition of DHFL in the data science and data reporting stream.

Throughout their career, Ravi has demonstrated a strong background in data science, analytics, and business strategy. Ravi has been recognized for their innovative work, winning awards and accolades such as the Texas Instruments India Innovation challenge.

Ravi Shankar completed their primary education in Computer Science at CS DAV Public School from 2005 to 2010. Ravi then pursued high school at Holy Convent Senior Secondary School in New Delhi from 2010 to 2012, focusing on Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Following this, Ravi attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained a Dual Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additionally, Ravi has acquired several certifications, including courses in corporate finance, financial accounting, marketing, and entrepreneurship, as well as investment analysis and portfolio management from various institutions like Skillsoft, Coursera, and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.
