Amanda Black

Boatswain (Customer Service Manager) at Pirate Ship

Amanda Black began their career in 2004 as a Team Member at Joan Fabrics. Amanda then moved to ACM Technologies, Inc. in 2009, where they held the roles of Return Material Authorization Coordinator and Customer Service Representative. In 2014, they joined Innovative Interfaces as a Customer Service Specialist. In 2015, Amanda worked at both Verizon and Aol Go90, as a Video Operations Center Technician and Video Operations Center Technician Supervisor respectively. Finally, they joined International Paper in 2017 as a Customer Service Representative II, and most recently, Pirate Ship in 2021 as Boatswain (Customer Service Manager), Shipmaster, and Deckhand.

Amanda Black completed a Master of Arts in Linguistics at Indiana University Bloomington between 2006 and 2008. Amanda also earned a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from California State University-San Bernardino between 2000 and 2006. During this time, they also studied French Studies at the Institut d'Études Françaises pour Étudiants Étrangers in Aix-en-Provence, France from 2003 to 2004.
