John C. Baum

John C. Baum serves as Senior Counsel at Pirkey Barber PLLC since September 2021, following a decade as Counsel for Trademark and Copyright at Owen, Wickersham & Erickson, P.C. where expertise was focused on trademark and copyright prosecution, licensing, and litigation. Prior to that, John was a Partner at Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP, specializing in intellectual property law with an emphasis on trademark and anti-counterfeiting. Early career included a role as a Litigation Associate at Folger Levin & Kahn LLP. John C. Baum holds a JD from the University of California, Davis - School of Law, a MA and completed coursework for a Ph.D. in History from the University of Chicago, and a BA in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College.
