Rafael Mariano

Rafael Mariano is a seasoned Sr. Data Engineer at Pismo since August 2021, with expertise in DataLake improvements, Databricks implementation, and the orchestration of data pipelines using Airflow. Rafael actively collaborates with the Analytics team to develop data processing and analysis services on AWS and employs Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for resource management. Previous experience includes a role as a Full Stack Developer at Touch Health, focusing on system interface enhancements and backend development in Java, as well as research as a M.Sc. student at INPE, where a dissertation was completed on automating land cover classification experiments. Rafael's early career also includes back-end development for Funcate and an internship at INPE.
