David Jennings Smith

David Jennings Smith serves as the Conductor and Artistic Director of the Nouveau Noir Vocal Ensemble, where leadership encompasses a diverse repertoire that reflects the rich musical heritage of Pittsburgh's African-American community. In addition, David operates djsvocals&piano, offering voice and beginner piano lessons since 2005. As the Baritone Section Leader and Soloist at East Liberty Presbyterian Church and a longstanding chorister and comprimario artist with Pittsburgh Opera since 1976, David has established a notable presence in the vocal arts. Academic credentials include education from Carnegie Mellon University.
