Jessica Whalen

Jessica Whalen is a seasoned professional in learning and performance management with extensive experience across various industries. Currently serving as Director of Learning and Performance for the Pittsburgh Penguins since October 2025, Jessica previously held several leadership roles at Duquesne Light Company, including General Manager of Learning & Change Transformation. At TiER1 Performance, Jessica contributed significantly as a Senior Solutions Consultant and Trusted Advisor for large-scale clients. A notable achievement at Kraft Heinz Company includes the swift development and launch of the Global Heinz Academy. With foundational experience in learning and development at Family Dollar, Jessica has a strong background in designing and executing strategic learning initiatives, organizational development, and talent acquisition. Educationally, Jessica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Political Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
