Sabine Held-Perez

Vice President of Education at Pivot Point International

Sabine Held-Perez has worked at Pivot Point International for several years, starting in 1996. Sabine held various roles, including Cosmetology Instructor, Salon Division Manager, Artistic Director, Director of Education, and Program Development Director. Their responsibilities included managing development teams, providing leadership to graphic designers and editors, and overseeing video and photo production. In 2009, they became the Senior Director of Program Development, where they developed multi-media education products for international markets. From 2013 to 2019, they served as the Senior Director of Education Innovation, leading the instructional design and development of a learning management system for the beauty industry. Currently, they hold the position of Assistant Vice President, Education Strategy & Development, and will soon become the Vice President of Education.

Sabine Held-Perez's education history begins with their completion of the Friseurmeisterin program at Meisterschule Rohrmann in 1995, where they focused on cosmetology. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1994, they attended Pivot Point Germany to obtain a Teacher Certificate in cosmetology. Sabine also completed their Abitur at Nicolaus Kistner Gymnasium in Germany from 1983 to 1991, specializing in English Language and Literature.

In addition to their formal education, Sabine has acquired several certifications. In 2023, they obtained an edX Verified Certificate for Platform Strategy for Business. Sabine also holds a Verified Certificate for Product Management with Lean, Agile and System Design Thinking from edX, obtained in 2022. Sabine has completed the Microsoft Teams Quick Tips course through LinkedIn in 2020. In 2019, they earned an Instructional Design Foundations and Applications certification from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign through Coursera. Furthermore, Sabine obtained certifications in PowerPoint for Teachers: Creating Interactive Lessons and The Neuroscience of Learning through LinkedIn in 2018.
