Paul Ashmore has over 20 years of experience in the software and hardware industry. Paul has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Senior Software Engineer at British Airways in 1996. Paul later worked at IBM Hursley Laboratories as a Lead Software Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and implementing caching systems. Paul then founded their own consultancy company called Radicon Systems Limited, where they worked as a Principal Software Engineer on various projects. Paul also worked as a Software Architect at LSI/Mylex and as a Software Engineer at Chaparral Network Storage. In 2003, they joined Dot Hill Systems as a Principal Software Engineer and Architect, responsible for designing and implementing firmware features for RAID storage controllers. Paul continued their career at NexGen Storage as an Architect and Principal Software Engineer, working on a hybrid storage system. Later, they joined SanDisk as a Principal Software Engineer before finally joining Pivot3 as a Principal Engineer. Most recently, they have been working as a Senior Engineer at an undisclosed company since 2020. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated expertise in software and firmware design, as well as storage and RAID technologies.

Paul Ashmore completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Surrey between 1988 and 1991.
