Kayla Harper-Alvarez

Kayla Harper-Alvarez is a Post-Secondary Coach at PIVOTAL, where Kayla provides academic and employment coaching to foster youth at San Jose City College. Prior to this role, Kayla served as a Program Coordinator at Playworks, a Disney College Program Participant at Walt Disney World, and an Assistant Instructor at Galileo Learning. Kayla also has experience as an Event Coordinator Intern at San Jose State University, where Kayla organized programs and workshops. As a Braven Fellow, Kayla led a research project on design thinking. Additionally, Kayla has served as Vice President of Sigma Omega Phi Multicultural Sorority Inc., focusing on improving academic performance within the organization. Kayla holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from San Jose State University.
