Roy Chan

Roy Chan is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in driver debugging, multimedia processing, and system integration in various high-tech companies. Currently a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) at AMD since October 2020, Roy specializes in Windows Kernel driver debugging, display capture streaming solutions, FPGA testing, and automation of manual testing through Jenkins CI. Previously, as a Staff Engineer at Pixelworks, Roy honed skills in real-time transcoding, web API development, and contributed to innovative cord-cutting solutions. With a foundational role at ViXS Systems Inc., Roy led the implementation of software modules for new chipsets and multimedia solutions, having also gained early experience at Entone and Motorola/Freescale. Roy Chan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
