James Amo

James Amo has a long and varied work experience. James began their career in 2004 as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ghana. In 2005, they moved to Bsystems Ghana Ltd as a Senior Web Developer. In 2006, they joined Millicom Services UK Ltd in the role of Regional Solution Architect - Africa, where they managed the product development lifecycle for a range of applications, translated business requirements into detailed architectures and designs, documented technical requirements, and acted as lead architecture when dealing with clients, program managers and the IT team. James also held the roles of Systems Integration and Business Intelligence Project Manager, Territorial Management System Administrator, and Applications Programmer/Acting VAS Coordinator. In 2016, they moved to PAiC Business Development as a Telecom Lead Developer. In 2022, they joined PIXO VR as a Senior Software Engineer.

James Amo has a diverse educational background. James obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science; Science from West Africa Secondary School, Accra Senior Secondary School between 1995 and 1997. James then went on to pursue a BSc in Computer Science & Mathematics from the University of Ghana between 2000 and 2004. Following this, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from DELTA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF NEW ORLEANS (DIU) in 2013. Most recently, they obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from Indiana University South Bend in 2020. Additionally, they hold certifications in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera (2019), Duolingo French Fluency: Intermediate (Estimated) from Duolingo (2015), and edX Honor Code Certificate for Programming in F# from edX.
