Aftab Khan

Aftab Khan currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Operations, Planning & Security at PJM Interconnection, a position held since March 2024, where responsibilities include grid operations, transmission planning, cybersecurity, physical security, and business continuity. Prior to this role, Aftab Khan was the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Eversource Energy from 2018 to March 2024, overseeing multiple facets of electric transmission and distribution planning, including capital planning and emergency response. Previous experience includes serving as the General Manager for North America at GE Grid Solutions and in various leadership roles at ABB Inc., including Senior Vice President of Power Transformers North America and President of the Power Systems Division in Saudi Arabia. Aftab Khan’s career began at GE, working as a Senior Application Engineer. Aftab Khan holds an MBA in Operations & Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master's in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
