Yang Chen

Yang Chen has a solid background in power systems, with significant experience in both research and applied engineering. At Texas A&M University, Yang served as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on synchrophasor data analytics to improve event detection in power systems through advanced dimensionality reduction techniques. Yang's internship at PJM Interconnection involved the development of C++ software for creating operational data models and integrating essential analysis modules. Yang has continued to advance in the field as a Senior Business Solution Engineer at PJM Interconnection since September 2015 and previously held the role of Business Solution Engineer. Yang began academic pursuits at Harbin Institute of Technology, where foundational knowledge on active vibration control for seismic-excited buildings was gained.
