Mark Barton

Mark Barton has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mark began their career as a Senior UNIX Specialist in ANZ in 1994 and later worked as a Senior Project Specialist in DHL from 2001 to 2004. Mark then served as a Technical Architect and Project Manager in Royal Bank of Scotland from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Barclays Capital as a Solutions Architect and held the role until 2007 when they became a Systems Architect in Moore Capital Management. From 2008 to 2012, Mark worked at JPMorgan as a Global Infrastructure Program Manager, providing financial and architectural guidance in complex and dynamic environments. Mark then joined CenturyLink (Formerly Savvis Inc.) as the Global Head of Solutions Sales & Transformation in the Financial Markets division from 2012 to 2019. Mark also worked at World Wide Technology from 2019 to 2020, holding the positions of Senior Client Executive in Financial Services and Snr. Global Director of Sales Engineering. Currently, they are the Head of Engineering and Operations EMEA and APAC at PJT Partners, starting from November 2020.

Mark Barton completed their Executive MSc in Technology Management at Columbia University from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their BEng in Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, which they attended from 1991 to 1994. Additionally, Mark holds certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in March 2013, and cissp from (ISC)², obtained in August 2018. Mark also achieved PRINCE2 Practitioner certification in February 2004.
