SUMMARY:
The communications associate will assist in developing & implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to boost brand awareness, build Placer’s status as an industry influencer across profiles, strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders, and increase web traffic.  This position is responsible for developing high-quality, data-driven social content, and social post schedules for multiple platforms, driving engagement on social media, and advising Placer leadership on their individual posts.  This is an opportunity for someone creative, comfortable with data-driven content, and motivated to build a strategy for growth while being the hands-on implementer and creator of a high volume of content and posting. 

This is the perfect position for a driven multi-tasker who is excited to plan and build upon a strong, existing brand as well as develop engaging content to increase overall brand awareness. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in developing a strategy for increasing audience by optimizing new & existing content 
  • Build out a relevant content calendar based on current assets, upcoming events, trends, etc. 
  • Engage with thought leaders and followers across social platforms & build relationships with key influencers in Placer’s verticals 
  • Support senior management with social media presence best practices  – developing content and recommendations to grow their reach
  • Monitor & analyze data across brand channels and offer suggestions on how to improve and/or enhance campaigns on existing platforms 
  • Support existing partners on various business development & growth projects 
  • Identify social trends and keep up with changing algorithms 
  • Work closely with content & insights teams to properly understand content in order to promote effectively to our core audiences 
  • Be a responsive voice on platforms such as Reddit & Quora to increase our organic SEO
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the overall comms team including; media tracking, updating analyses documents, and ensuring website assets are up to date
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the communications & social media Monday.com board 
  • Find and explore new ways to streamline overall processes for various projects 
  • Organization & admin tasks as necessary 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience 
  • Native English speaker - a Must
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms – specifically X, Linkedin, YouTube & Instagram 
  • Comfortable speaking and engaging with key opinion leaders 
  • Proven record of building audiences and engagement on social platforms
  • Experience writing short-form engaging content suitable for social media
  • Expert communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work with data and present insights in clear and engaging ways
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment that requires managing multiple tasks quickly & efficiently (across multiple time zones)
