R. J. Hottovy

R. J. Hottovy is currently the head of analytical research at Placer.ai. Prior to this, they served as the director of financial analytics at Aaron Allen & Associates from December 2020 to June 2021. R. also served as the fund manager and director of investor and industry relations at Aaron Allen Capital Partners during the same timeframe.

From July 2008 to December 2020, Hottovy worked as the consumer equity strategist and senior retail, restaurant, and e-commerce analyst at Morningstar. In this role, they were responsible for setting the research agenda for a global team of 15 analysts across a coverage universe spanning more than 300 consumer equities. R. also authored and edited consumer industry and macroeconomic thought-leadership research pieces.

Hottovy has also maintained a regular speaking and teaching schedule, including the development of a MBA-level equity analysis course for the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business (2009-2016) and conference presentations for ShopperTrak, Rivel Research Group, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and CFA events in Chicago, New York, London, and Paris.

R.J. Hottovy received their BBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame and their certification from 162977 in Chartered Financial Analyst from Regis Jesuit High School.

R. J. Hottovy reports to Noam Ben-Zvi, CEO & Co-Founder. They are on a team with Ofir Lemel - Chief Product Officer & Co‑Founder, Koby Ben-Zvi - President, and Roi Chobadi - COO.
