Aslı Akman has a diverse work experience in the marketing field. Aslı started their career as a Marketing Intern at Unilever in 2004, followed by a role as a Marketing Assistant at Gillette. In 2005, they became a Marketing Specialist at Tupperware, where they were responsible for developing marketing strategies and participating in innovation processes.

In 2006, Aslı joined Mondelēz International as a Senior Assistant Brand Manager, and later became a Brand Manager. Aslı then advanced to the role of Senior Brand Manager, where they disrupted the Salted Snacks Category with innovative marketing strategies and consumer-centric communication.

In 2012, Aslı transitioned to McCormick & Company as a Marketing Manager, where they played a pivotal role in growing the business in Turkey and acted as a key point of contact for the regional office.

Aslı joined pladis Global, a global snacking company, in 2016 as a Senior Global Marketing Manager. In this role, they were responsible for brand development projects in the chocolate and bakery categories, focusing on driving profitable growth in the US and UK markets. Aslı also led the Health & Wellbeing initiative and worked on expanding the company's presence in the US, UK, Netherlands, and Turkey markets.

In 2019, Aslı was promoted to Marketing Director at pladis Global, where they launched various campaigns and corporate actions, resulting in the recognition of Ülker as a "Snacking Lovemark" in Turkey. Aslı also played a key role in developing the sustainability strategy for pladis Turkey, aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

Aslı Akman completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration at Boğaziçi University from 2000 to 2005. Aslı is currently pursuing a degree in Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge, expected to be completed in 2023.
