Caroline Saunders

Caroline Saunders has a diverse work experience in the field of health and wellness. Caroline is currently serving as the Senior Director of Global Health and Wellness at pladis Global since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SUNTORY BEVERAGE & FOOD EUROPE as the Science and Regulatory Affairs Director from September 2017 until June 2023. Additionally, they held the role of Applied Research and Claims Director at the same company from August 2017 to August 2021. Before joining SUNTORY, Caroline served as the Principal Nutrition Scientist at Suntory Food and Beverages Europe from October 2015 to June 2023. Their career also includes positions at PepsiCo as a Senior Nutrition Scientist, where they managed clinical research and played a key role in innovation and business development in fruit and vegetable chemistry and nutrition. Prior to their industry experience, Caroline worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Reading and gained practical experience as a Nutritionist at Kitewalk Limited, where they focused on developing nutritionally balanced menus and advising on food labeling.

Caroline Saunders completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Reading, from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the same university between 2005 and 2008.
