James McLaughlan

James McLaughlan has extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management. James most recently served as the Global Head of Procurement / Flexible Packaging at pladis Global, where they led the largest packaging spend globally. Prior to that, they held the position of UK&IE Head of Procurement - Packaging at the same company, overseeing global and regional procurement activities in packaging.

Before that, James worked as the Global Head Of Procurement (Capex) at Britishvolt, a startup electric car battery manufacturer. James was responsible for sourcing manufacturing equipment and leading supplier negotiations. James also played a key role in developing procurement processes and policies.

James also held positions at Essentra as the Global Procurement Director, where they led the global packaging procurement function, and at BrewDog as the Head of Procurement. James has also worked at BRITVIC PLC as a Group Senior Buyer and at Rexam Beverage Cans in various roles, including Supply Chain Manager - Logistics and Procurement Category Lead - Tooling.

James began their career at BiP Solutions Ltd as a Senior Media Researcher, where they gathered market intelligence and managed content for various online platforms.

James McLaughlan earned a BSC Hons degree in Business Information Technology & Multimedia from the University of the West of Scotland from 2002 to 2006. In 2014 to 2015, they completed a CIPS - Level 4 Diploma in Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions and Contracts Management from Central Business School - Milton Keynes. James also obtained a BSC degree in Business Information Technology & Multimedia from the University of the West of Scotland from 2002 to 2006.
