Ryan Kaufman

Ryan Kaufman is a seasoned narrative professional with extensive experience in the video game industry. Currently serving as Narrative Director at ProbablyMonsters since January 2024, Kaufman previously held the position of Head of Narrative at Plai Labs, where leadership in narrative and world-building was provided for the arena RPG CHAMPIONS: ASCENSION. As VP of Narrative at Jam City from May 2018 to January 2023, significant contributions were made to the $400M HARRY POTTER: HOGWARTS MYSTERY franchise and original titles for Netflix. Prior roles include Director of Narrative Design at Telltale Games, overseeing projects like WALKING DEAD and BATMAN, and Creative Director on GAME OF THRONES: A Telltale Series. Kaufman also has experience with Planet Moon Studios and Lucasfilm, with a foundation in Creative Writing from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
