Chris Groom has a diverse background in IT roles spanning over two decades. Chris began their career at Computer Land in 1997, where they provided software and hardware support. Chris then worked as a Network Administrator at Kristin School, supporting both Novell and NT4 Servers. At Gap Inc., Chris supported users in multiple countries and led various IT projects. Chris served as an IT Manager at de Gournay, where they upgraded and installed new systems. Chris continued to develop their skills as a Senior Systems Engineer at X-Net Technologies and as an IS Support at ABB Ltd. Chris gained experience managing the IT infrastructure and supporting the ERP system as an IT Manager at John Monaghan Holdings. Finally, Chris held leadership positions at The University of Auckland, where they served as a Microsoft Systems Server Engineer and a Team Leader in Microsoft Services. Currently, they are the Head of Engineering at Plan B Limited, overseeing engineering and operations teams and driving continuous improvement.
