Leandro Folgar is the President at Plan Ceibal.

Leandro Folgar served as Adjunct Professor of the Department of Education of the Catholic University of Uruguay. His line of research: Educational Environments of the SXXI. Other of his specialty areas: Active Pedagogies and Adult Development.

He holds a Master's degree in Technology, Innovation and Education from Harvard University in the United States. He also earned his business certification credentials through the Harvard Business School with the CORE degree. and he has a degree in Education from the Catholic University of Uruguay.

In addition, she is an English teacher with TESOL certification from Trinity College London and 13 years of experience in different roles in various educational organizations in Uruguay. He worked as a Researcher and Professor at the Faculties of Human Sciences and Business Sciences at the Catholic University of Uruguay. He is the founder of Ibirapitá, a company dedicated to human development through learning, recreation, technology and play. Throughout Ibirapitá's career, he has led various projects for business, educational, public and non-governmental organizations.

He has received numerous awards and distinctions such as the IVLP (International Visitor Leadership Program) from the United States Department of State for young leadership, a Morosoli award for education for the ANEP-CODICEN Educational Camps Program, a recognition from Google for Education for his contribution to tertiary education and an ANII-Fulbright Scholarship for postgraduate studies. She has designed various training and development programs for professionals from Uruguay and abroad.She also worked as a research assistant at the MIT Media Lab for the SLogo nova program which is a multi-agent simulation platform for the development of mathematical, statistical and abstraction skills aimed at high school and tertiary students through block programming.
