Yara Ali

Yara Ali is a Data Scientist at planblue, a position held since March 2023. Previously, Yara worked as a Junior Applied Scientist Intern at Zalando from August 2022 to February 2023 and served as an AI/ML and Computer Vision Engineer at Visual and AI Solutions (VAIS) from January 2021 to August 2022. Yara began a career in research as a Research Assistant at Nile University, contributing to the ubiquitous and visual computing group from September 2018 to December 2020. Earlier, Yara completed a Deep Learning Engineer Internship at Myocardial Solutions Inc., focusing on breast cancer classification and detection models in July and August 2018, and gained experience as a Front End Developer Intern at Assess Talent Management in July and August 2016. Yara's leadership experience includes serving as Chairman for IEEE NUSB from June 2015 to June 2016. Yara holds a Master's degree in Informatics from Nile University (2018-2021) and participated in an Erasmus Semester at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte in Computer Engineering in 2017.
