David Houghton

David Houghton is an experienced Information Technology Manager currently leading the IT department for the Planet IT - Harlow College partnership since June 2021. Previously, Houghton served as ICT Client Manager for Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, focusing on ICT service delivery and strategy development from April 2015 to June 2021. Additional roles include Interim Network Services Manager at Updata Infrastructure, ICT Service Delivery Manager at London Borough of Hackney, Governance Manager at Serco, and ICT Service Delivery Manager for Hertfordshire County Council. Houghton began the professional journey in ICT production management at Telkom, managing significant IT systems for numerous end users. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Information Technology and various certifications in project management and management development.
