Ian Schneider

Ian Schneider is a Senior Software Engineer at Planet, where employment began in June 2015. Prior to this role, Ian worked at Boundless (formerly OpenGeo) as a Software Engineer from May 2011 to May 2015 and served as a Senior Software Engineer at Riverside Technology from November 2006 to May 2011. Ian's earlier experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at USDA-ARS from 2001 to 2006, focusing on the design and development of the Object Modeling System (OMS), which involved a Java IDE, FORTRAN parsing, and integration with various visualization libraries. The career commenced with an internship at Conceptual Integrity in 2000, focusing on R&D for Java Swing Desktop applications. Ian holds a BS in Computer Science and a BS in Geology from Colorado State University, as well as education from the Colorado School of Mines.
