Tara O'Shea

Tara O'Shea is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and sustainable development. Currently serving as Senior Director of Strategy for Forests & Land Use at Planet since August 2016, Tara leads the strategic development of climate and sustainable land use solutions powered by Earth observation and artificial intelligence. Previous roles include Interim VP of Business Development at Planet, where Tara contributed to the company's IPO processes, and Global Director of Business Development for Forests & Climate, focusing on the economic valuation of forests. With a background that includes sustainability consulting at Ultra Capital LLC, strategy consulting at Amplifier Strategies, and directorship of programs at Code REDD, Tara's expertise spans philanthropy, clean energy, and economic incentives for environmental conservation. Tara holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Management and a Graduate Certificate in Development Economics from Duke University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Gettysburg College.
