Marla Potterveld

Marla Potterveld has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Marla began their career as a Workstation Technical Support Intern at Hewlett-Packard in 2006. In 2009, they worked as an iPhone App Software Development at Tioth LLC. From 2008-2009, they were a Technology HelpDesk Student Worker at Occidental College. In 2012, they joined Dropbox as a Product Operations Manager, Customer Experience Web and Sharing Product Expert, and User Operations Agent - Generalist. In 2019, they took time off to travel and learn about different cultures, languages, and online study. Most recently, they are a Manager of Technical Account Managers and Technical Account Manager at PlanetScale, where they act as the primary point of contact for the customer from a Customer Success perspective.

Marla Potterveld obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College between 2008 and 2012. In 2010, they attended Capital Normal University for an unknown period of time. Marla also obtained various certifications from The Linux Foundation and LinkedIn between 2020 and 2016, including "LFC102: Inclusive Open Source Community Orientation," "Become an Instructional Designer," "Brain-Based Elearning Design," "Elearning Techniques: Visual Design," "Introduction to Screencasting," "Measuring Learning Effectiveness," "Agile Instructional Design," "Instructional Design Essentials: Models of ID," "Instructional Design: Adult Learners," "Instructional Design: Creating Video Training," "Instructional Design: Needs Analysis," "Instructional Design: Storyboarding," "Instructional Design: Working with SMEs," "Teaching Techniques: Writing Effective Learning Objectives," and "ITIL V3 Foundation (2011)."
