Bernadette Blanco has a diverse work experience. From 2019 until the present, they have been the Director of Education at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. In this role, they lead a team of health educators and provides the community with accurate sexual health information. Bernadette also supports young people, parents, and professionals in discussing sexual health and promotes inclusivity. Before joining Planned Parenthood, Bernadette worked at Houston ISD. From 2012 to 2019, they served as a School Principal, overseeing school operations and administration. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Principal from 2010 to 2012, and a Social Studies Teacher from 2006 to 2010.
Bernadette Blanco has a degree in History with a field of study in American History from Colorado College. Bernadette also holds a Masters of Art degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin.
