Elyssa Spitzer

Policy Analyst at Planned Parenthood

Elyssa Spitzer has a diverse work experience, starting in 2013 as a Trial Preparation Assistant at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. In 2015, they worked as a Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of Labor. Elyssa then became a Summer Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2016. In 2017, they joined Measures for Justice as a Senior Legal Researcher. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Legal Fellow at the Center for Reproductive Rights. In 2020, they served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Elyssa also became a Pro Bono Fellow at the Roderick & Solange MacArthur Justice Center during that time. In 2021, Elyssa worked at The Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Harvard Law School as a Senior Fellow in Law and Applied Neuroscience. Elyssa then joined the Center for American Progress, starting as a Policy Analyst and working their way up to become a Senior Policy Analyst in the Women's Initiative. Currently, Elyssa is a Policy Analyst at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, starting in 2022.

Elyssa Spitzer completed their education at various prestigious institutions. Elyssa started their academic journey in 2004 at Horace Mann School, where they completed their primary education. Later, in 2008, they enrolled at Harvard University, majoring in Social Studies and graduating in 2012. Elyssa's pursuit of higher education led their to Harvard Law School, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (JD) degree from 2014 to 2017.
