Marcela Uribe has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Marcela currently works at Planned Parenthood Federation of America as a Senior Content Designer for Spanish Language Digital Products. In this role, they are responsible for editing, transcreating, and creating culturally relevant content for PPFA's digital products and services. Marcela also serves as a blogger for Planned Parenthood's Blog Sexo sin-verguenza.
Previously, Marcela worked at Tetra Tech as a Communications Consultant, where they created content in different formats to raise awareness on the impact of the Community Development and Licit Opportunities Program in rural and vulnerable communities in Colombia. Marcela also supported the development of content aimed at destigmatizing communities affected by war.
Marcela has experience as a Consultant for Corporación Dunna, where they implemented the Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) model in programs and interventions in communities affected by violence in Colombia. Marcela also organized trainings and conferences to create awareness around trauma-sensitive practices for peace-building.
Marcela worked as an Audiovisual Communications Coordinator at Unidad para las Víctimas, where they led the video strategy and team, creating and editing video content to support the National Unit for Victims of War's communications strategy.
Marcela has also worked as a Researcher at UN WOMEN - Casa de la Mujer, a Translator at the British Embassy, a Research Assistant at Autoridad Nacional de Televisión - ANTV, a Medical Interpreter and Translator at Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, and a Communications and Outreach Coordinator at Radio Ambulante.

Marcela Uribe has a Master's degree in Communication and Culture from Universidad de Buenos Aires. Marcela also has a Bachelor's degree in History from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. In 2017, they attended the Center for Trauma and Embodiment where they obtained certification as a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator.
