Sheena Mathews

Sheena Mathews is an experienced political and outreach professional, currently serving at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund since March 2022. Prior experience includes working with the North Carolina General Assembly from 2018 to 2021, the Tom Steyer 2020 campaign as National Deputy Director for African American Outreach from 2019 to 2020, and as Regional Director for Upper Southeastern States at NextGen America from 2018 to 2019. Sheena also held the position of Campaign Manager for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 31 in early 2018 and has a background in Birmingham's City government under Mayor William A. Bell Sr. from 2010 to 2017, as well as serving under Jefferson County Commissioner Sheila Smoot in 2010. Sheena Mathews earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Miles College in 2010.
