Gabriela Jack has over 25 years of work experience. Gabriela began their career in 1993 as a Drafter at BIMC, S.A. de C.V. In 1996, they became a Mechanical Engineer at the same company, where they assisted in selection and/or design of heat exchangers, furnaces, and fans for factories, as well as in non-destructive testing using ultrasound methods. In 2009, they worked as a Freelance Writer for Wiley: Sybex, where they developed three chapters for the book "SolidWorks 2010: No Experience Required". From 2008 to 2014, they worked as a Blogger for GabiJack.com and as a Software Engineer (RoR) and Senior Software Engineer (RoR) for ePublishing. In 2014, they also worked as a Web Integration Developer for Manilla.com, where they created modular Ruby code to extract and provide the data that powers Manilla's iOS, Android, and Web apps. Finally, from 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Fuery Solutions, where they performed testing of the entire application with the purpose of identifying bugs, performance, and usability issues or cross-browser incompatibilities.

Gabriela Jack obtained a B.S. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey between 1991 and 1996. In 2012, they obtained a Java Developer Certificate of Accomplishment from Ohlone College.
