Christi Huizenga Renaud has a diverse range of work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Starting in 2001, they worked as the Youth Programming Coordinator at the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids for three years. From 2003 to 2004, they served as the Calvin at Burton Heights Program Coordinator at the Garfield Development Corporation, overseeing grant funding, program logistics, and reporting. In 2004, they joined the International Justice Mission, where they held various positions, including Executive Assistant to the Director of Investigation, Project Manager within the global investigation team, and Special Assistant to the Director in Kolkata. Christi contributed to the organization's rapid growth and the establishment of the Kolkata Field Office. Between 2007 and 2010, Christi worked as a Consultant for Tall Turf Ministries, where they managed operations during a leadership change, conducted evaluations, and developed communications for a capital campaign. In 2009, they served as the Country Business Manager in Tanzania for the Millennium Village Project, leading initiatives to improve agriculture finance and boost farmer repayment rates. Finally, since 2010, Christi has been involved with Plant With Purpose, initially as the Program Officer for Tanzania, Burundi, Thailand, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and now as the Director of Marketing and Development. Throughout their career, Christi has demonstrated a commitment to poverty alleviation, youth programming, human rights, and sustainable development.

Christi Huizenga Renaud completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communications and International Development from Calvin University. Christi attended the university from 1999 to 2003. Later, they pursued their Masters in Business Administration, specializing in International Business, at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Christi was enrolled in the MBA program from 2008 to 2009.
