Alonso Leon de la Barra

Alonso Leon de la Barra is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer and Board Member at Plata Card since July 2022, Alonso oversees financial management for four legal entities in the US, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, and Mexico. Prior positions include CFO of ID Finance Mexico, Financial Director at Banco Azteca, and CEO of Multikrd LLC, among others. With a solid foundation in finance, having held significant roles at Banco Forjadores, General Electric, Procter & Gamble, Delphi, and Banco Santander Mexico, Alonso has demonstrated expertise in financial transformation, strategy development, and organizational turnaround. An MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Michigan complements a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad Iberoamericana.
