Adam Waters has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Adam is currently working as a Product Management and Strategy professional at Platina Systems since 2022. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2020, they were a Co-Founder at Loop AIOps, where they developed an AIOps SaaS MVP for Kubernetes operators and was involved in start-up team formation, market strategy, product fundamentals, and venture fundraising.

Adam also worked as an Independent Consultant from 2017 to 2019, providing start-up mentoring, IP networking, and Math teaching services. During this time, they mentored for the UC Davis Big Bang Business Plan competition and the UC Berkeley-Haas Entrepreneurship Program. Adam also contributed to the development of Zabiplane, an open-source dataplane.

Adam Waters has a significant experience working at Dell EMC, where they served as a Senior Director of the Open Innovation Lab in the Office of the CTO from 2014 to 2017. In this role, they led the integration of the Cloudscaling team into EMC and facilitated the subsequent merger with Dell. Adam was also involved in building and launching a follow-on OpenStack-based infrastructure product named Project Neutrino. Additionally, they joined the CTO team to lead advanced Proof of Concepts (PoCs) with major customers.

Before joining Dell EMC, Adam Waters co-founded Cloudscaling in 2009 and served as its COO. The company specialized in building open-source based clouds for major carriers and enterprises, with notable clients including AT&T, Walmart, Korea Telecom, Ubisoft, and others. Adam also played a key role in the start and launch of the OpenStack Foundation.

Prior to Cloudscaling, Adam Waters worked as the COO at Support Intelligence from 2006 to 2009. The company provided data services to major security vendors and conducted security research for the Department of Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency.

Adam also worked as an Independent Consultant for Product & Strategy from 2004 to 2006, contributing to M&A activity in the South Korean Telecom market and product management for financial modeling and scenario planning software.

Adam Waters founded Vedacore in 2002 and served as the CEO until 2004. Adam started their career as the VP of Engineering at iAsiaWorks Inc. from 1998 to 2001, leading the company-wide engineering and international team through the buildout of a multi-ASN international network and the launch of three custom-built datacenters. The infrastructure of iAsiaWorks was later acquired by PCCW and Hanaro Telecom.

Furthermore, Adam Waters worked as an Independent Consultant in UNIX and IP Networking in 1998 and 1999, where they served as a member of the Technical Planning Committee for the CalREN2 Internet2 Research Network. Adam also worked with organizations such as San Francisco Examiner and iVillage during this time.

Adam Waters earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in History (Honors) from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1990 to 1992. Adam then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management, completing the program from 2002 to 2004. Prior to their higher education, Adam attended The Taft School from 1985 to 1988, but the specific degree or field of study for this period is unknown.
