Vladimir Baranov has over 13 years of professional experience in the technology industry. Vladimir began their career in 2007 as a Rapid Application Development Team Lead at the National Bank of Canada. In 2009, they became a Senior Developer at StreamingEdge and the CEO and Founder of Avtomat Software. In 2010, they joined Deutsche Bank as a Lead Developer - Inventory Trading/Delta1 Risk. In 2013, they became a Partner and CTO/COO at LendLift. In 2014, they became CTO and Founder of Advisor Engine, which was acquired by Franklin Templeton (NYSE:BEN). Vladimir also became CTO at NestEgg Wealth, which was acquired by AdvisorEngine. In 2020, they became CTO/COO at SCOUT Inc. and an Engineering Leadership Mentor at Plato with a rating of 9.7. In 2022, they became an Entrepreneurship Mentor at Cornell eLab Accelerator.

Vladimir Baranov has a diverse educational background. Vladimir attended ORT Moscow Technology School from 1996 to 1998 and obtained a High School degree. Vladimir then attended Stony Brook University from 2001 to 2005 and obtained a BE & BS in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. In 2012, they attended The University of Hong Kong. From 2011 to 2013, they attended both Columbia Business School and London Business School and obtained an EMBA Global 2013. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications since 2007, including a Series 7 (General Securities Representative) from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2007, and more recently, a VentureDeals VC Course from Kauffman Fellows / Techstars in 2020.
