Robert Ziems

Robert Ziems has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal and gaming industry. Robert'smost recent position was as the Chief Legal Officer at AGS - American Gaming Systems, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Aruze Gaming, including President, Global Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary. During this time, they successfully turned around the company financially, improved operating efficiencies, and raised millions in debt financing during the Covid pandemic.

Before their time at Aruze Gaming, they founded their own law firm, ZIEMS, P.C., specializing in IP licensing and global business opportunities. Robert also worked at Bullivant Houser Bailey where they developed their gaming law practice in Nevada. Additionally, they held executive positions at Progressive Gaming International Corporation, where they managed global legal, human resources, compliance, and internal audit departments.

Prior to that, they served as Associate General Counsel at Aristocrat Technologies, Inc., overseeing legal corporate activities in the Americas, with a focus on Latin America. Robert also worked as an Associate Attorney at Jimmerson Hanson, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at M-CAM, Inc., Associate General Counsel at Station Casinos, Inc., and Senior Counsel at NOS Communications, Inc.

Throughout their career, Ziems has demonstrated expertise in regulatory relations, licensing, IP management, contract negotiation, and business development. Robert has achieved significant financial and operational improvements in the organizations they have worked for, generating millions in revenues and cost savings.

Robert Ziems has a diverse education history that includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Drake University Law School, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Florida. Robert also attended Boca Raton Community High School. Additionally, they hold certifications to practice law in both Nevada, obtained from the State Bar of Nevada, and Virginia, obtained from the Virginia State Bar.
